A Swede Escape
Hi! My name is Grace Ramsey (she/her), and I’m from a northern suburb of Chicago, IL. I’m a junior at the University of Wisconsin-Madison studying neurobiology and global health. I am super excited to spend the semester in Stockholm, and I hope you follow along with my time abroad!
About Me
At DIS, my core course is Neuroscience of Emotion. I’ll also be taking the corresponding lab, Public Health Emergencies and Health Crisis Management, Glued to the Screen, and Swedish Language and Culture I.
I have never been anywhere in Scandinavia before, so I am really happy to be able to explore a part of the world that I haven’t experienced. During my time abroad, I plan on continuing to engage in all of my favorite hobbies to ensure that I have at least an ounce of familiarity to carry with me. I absolutely love to watch movies and tv (First Wives Club is my current favorite movie but it changes ALL the time), cook/bake plant-based recipes, read books that feel like rom coms (Emily Henry is top tier), go on walks with friends, listen to music (thank you to Gwen Stefani, because “The Sweet Escape” inspired my blog title), and hang out with my dog Bennie (I’m going to miss him the most <3).
